Reversible Photochromic Pigment
Colour appears when exposed to sunlight or UV
The reversible photochromic products change colours when exposed to sunlight/UV, and revert to their original colours when the sunlight/UV is dimmed or blocked. The changed molecule structure of reversible photochromic pigments after absorption of sunlight/UV allows a colour appears, whereas it reverts to the original molecule structure and colour once the light stimulation is dimmed or blocked. Our photochromic pigment passed EN-71 & RoHS and is safe for food grade packing and toys. More technical details and applications, if needed ...
Available Products
Photochromic dye: Photochromic dye does not react to sunlight/UV and needs to be dissolved in a medium (solvent, resin, or polymer) to function. Polarity of the medium is directly related to the colour.
Photochromic Slurry: Photochromic slurry is microencapsulated aqueous dispersion with good dispersal in water, which is suitable for water based paint.
Photochromic Microcapsulated Powder: Photochromic microencapsulated powder contains less than 3% of moisture, suitable for solvent/aqueous based ink/paint
Available Colours
16 new colours, which are more brilliant, are available since 2022 for the photochromic MC and photochromic OP MBs (Pls. see below). Of course the old colours are also available in parallel.
Reversible Thermochromic Pigment
Colour disappears when heated, appears again when cooling down
When the temperature is raised to the defined temperature, the thermochromic pigment becomes colourless. The original colour will be shown, once cooling down again. Our thermochromic pigment passed EN-71 & RoHS and is safe for food grade packing and toys. More technical details and applications, if needed ...
Available Products
Thermochromic Slurry: Thermochromic slurry is microencapsulated aqueous dispersion with good dispersal in water, suitable for water based ink, paint.

Available Colours and Activation Temperatures
15 available colours for 9 temperature level (–15℃ ~ 70℃ with an interval of 10℃ ) (Except 70℃, only black and dark blue are available for 70℃). Mixing different thermochromic colour with different activation temperature and usual pigments is possible.
Schematic presentation of thermochromic effect Vs temperature changes:
Example 31℃ Red: The red colour begins to fade at 28℃ and completely disappears at 32℃. When temperature lowers to 25℃, red colour begins to appear. The colour performance is strongest at 22℃.

The colour appears when the temperature is raised to a specified temperature. When the temperature is raised to the defined temperature, the thermochromic pigment becomes coloured. The pigment colour will disappear, once cooling down again. Such colour changing effect is reversible. Our interval thermochromic pigment passed EN-71 & RoHS and is safe for food grade packing and toys. More technical details and applications, if needed ...

Memory Type Thermochromic Pigment
Colour disappears at 55℃ but appears again first at 0 ℃ !
The colour of memory type thermochromic pigments will disappear when temperature reaches 55℃. Nevertheless, very different from the normal thermochromic pigment, its colour will appear once the temperature reaches 0℃. Such huge difference of the activated and de-activated temperature allow these pigments deliver a "memory effect". Our photochromic pigment passed EN-71 & RoHS. More technical details and applications, if needed ...

Working Mechanism
Long-Lasting Glow in the Dark Pigment
Glow in the dark last longer!
Glow in the dark materials can absorb and conserve light/heat energy, then glow in the dark. They can be recharged and continue to glow for unlimited times. The materials will be charged faster when exposing to sunlight/UV light. More technical details and applications, if needed ...
Available Products
Long-lasting Glow Powder : The long-lasting glow powder is pigment, suitable for plastic injection and solvent based ink/paint. Its afterglow time is ten times longer than that of the conventional type. Good weather resistance, applicable to both outdoor and indoor. It’s made of strontium aluminates, which is non-toxic and non-radioactive.
Conventional Glow Powder: Conventional glow powder is pigment, suitable for plastic injection and solvent /aqueous based ink/paint, having brighter start glow. Conventional glow powder owns shorter afterglow duration.
Microcapsulated Glow Powder: Encapsulated long-lasting glow powder by polymer can avoid oxidation destroying the glowing properties of the powder, which makes it suitable for aqueous based applications, e.g. ink or paint
Available Colours and Activation Temperatures
Four colours (YC/YA/BA/PA) available for long-lasting glowing powder. One colour (RA) for conventional (zinc sulphide) powder. Two items are available for the yellow-green powder, i.e. YA and YC. Glow of YC is brighter than YA. Please refer to www.colorchange.com.tw for afterglow performance of each item.
